AN ORDINARY LIFE

GREAT BARRIER IS

Live In the present moment breathes in God as naturally as a fish swimming in water. Spirituality is not a compartment or sphere of life but rather, it’s a lifestyle, the process of life lived with the vision of faith, sanctity lies in the discovering my true self, moving towards it, and living it out.
Begin to see the highest spiritual development is to be “ordinary “ to become fully man, in a way few human beings succeed in becoming so simply themselves.

The ordinary self is the extraordinary self- the inconspicuous nobody who shivers in the cold of winter and sweats in the heat of summer, wakes up unreconciled to the new day, who sits before a stack of pancakes, weaves through traffic, bangs around in the basement, shops in supermarkets, pulls weeds and rake up leaves makes love and snow balls, flies kites and listens to the sound of rain on the roof.
We encounter God in the ordinariness of life, not in the search for spiritual highs and extraordinary mystical experiences but in our simple presence in life,

{Brennin Manning}

If God speaks at all in this world, its in our everyday personal lives, in searching for God, many people tend to look for the miraculous and supernatural.
Instead we should be attending to the ordinary; wake and sleeping and above all dreaming, what wee remember and what we forget, what makes us smile and what makes us cry, what delights and what depresses us.
In the most commonplace events of a day, God speaks.
Listen to your life ,see it for the fathomless mystery that it is. In the boredom and pain of it no less in the excitement and gladness: touch taste smell your way through the holy and hidden heart of it because in the last analysis all moments are key moments and life itself is grace.
{Frederic Buechner}

here lies another day during which I have had eyes,ears , hands ,and a great world around me and tomorrow begins another . why am I allowed two?

CHILDRENS PARTY

Take off the party hat put down the candy covered cake and takes a last blow on your whistle,
Your mother is CALLING telling you its time to leave you ask WHY? The answer is, Because!!…

WE THROW OUR TOYS FROM THE SAND PIT, SPIT THE PACIFIER AND ROLL AROUND ON THE GROUND AGAIN WE SCREEM WHYYY!! AND STILL THE ANSWER IS BECAUSE {Original sin is self-centeredness}
THERE IS THE CALL OF CREATION HUMAN AND NON TO LEAVE THE PARTY.
Once you hear the call and see what you see and know what you know how can the question still be WHY…

Your life runs head on into the life of others in need; at that moment you are consecrated...{set aside, displaced from the ordinary by something or somebody to a specific purpose}
Consecration puts us in a place that by nature we would rather not be.

As we watch our child playing at the party dressed in hero’s suits, what do we long for them.

- Great riches,
- Crowd worshiping fame,
- Power and authority
Or is it…?
- To be richly held in loving esteem
- Adored for their passion of justice
- Power to encourage greatness in others

Will their heroes be mother Teresa or Donald Trump?
Will they dream dreams like Martin Luther or sleep soundly to the hum of the streetlights, barking dogs and sprinklers,
What we want for them is in the core of us is what we want for OURSELFS…

When I WAS A CHILD I SPOKE LIKE A CHILD I UNDERSTOOD AS A CHILD, I THOUGHT AS A CHILD BUT WHEN I BECAME AN ADULT I PUT AWAY CHILDESH THINGS…
